Hi I'm Jeff Trent

I like computers and science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Idaho. I have a strong background in computers. Video games are a huge hobby of mine taking up most of my free time. I love science: physics, chemistry, biology, any science is great. I love random facts and know a whole bunch of really random stuff. I am a big movie buff and when I am not playing video games I am usually watching a movie or TV. I still enjoy playing most sports casually and going to the mountains and other outdoor events. Camping, rock climbing and swimming are some of my favorites. But I still enjoy doing just about everything!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the church and I have attended it for all of my life. My mother was such a great example of how I needed to live my life and I am so thankful for her role model. As a teenager life got harder and I started to doubt what I learned growing up. Doubts crept into my mind about whether or not there was even God. Science seemed to have explained everything so well. While I still attended church meetings and activities I was lacking true faith in God. I rationalized, 'If there is a God, surely the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would be His, but how could I know if there is even a God?" In my later teenage years I was determining whether or not I should go on a mission. I felt strongly impressed that it was what I needed to do to be happy. I searched the scriptures and I searched my own heart for the truth. I found the sliver of faith that led me to apply for a mission. As I have served my mission my faith has only increased and I am confident in my beliefs of God and Jesus Christ and the restoration of the Church to the Prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in the Canada Halifax Mission. I love Atlantic Canada so much. I enjoy being able to share the gospel with all that I meet, and being able to help those that are struggling. Before my mission I was a permanent substitute teacher for the Primary in my ward. Which is something that I loved doing.
