Hi I'm Richard

I am sixty something, retired, and still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father, and grandfather and enjoy being with my family. I also look forward to, and find relaxation in, working in the yard or gardening. I have spent my career in Information Services and found much satisfaction in providing help and assistance to others in my company specifically with their computers. I have also enjoyed the service that I have been able to provide to my God through serving his children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because within my soul I know it is true. I have alway known it to be true. It was never hard for me to accept or live the doctines. Do not think that I am perfect because I am not. I struggle with human frailties and come up short often. I believe that it is through repenting of these sins and short coming and relying on the atonement of Jesus Christ that I will be able to return to the presence of my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. I also believe in modern day prophets and with that belief comes the restoration of priesthood authority. Many blessings have come to my family because of this restoration. One of these blessings is that my family will be able to be together forever, not just in this earth life. This I believe and bear testimony.

How I live my faith

The way that I am able to live my faith is through helping and being of service to others. I love the words of the scripture that say, "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I have through my life the opportunity to be in leadership positions that have allowed me to assist and meet with all kinds of families. The widow, widower, young singles, just married, large families, and grandparents. All are in need of some kind of help and I have been able to provide it to them by living my faith.
