Hi I'm Emma.

I'm a swimmer. I'm a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third child of seven. I have attended a year of college at the University of Utah. While there, I participated in community service organizations and an Ultimate Frisbee club. I love to play sports and do anything outside. Hiking, rock climbing, and anything involving water are my favorite things to do. I love chick-flicks, reading, and music. Spending time with family and friends is super important to me. I enjoy working with children and hope to someday work with them in a medical profession. I love to laugh; I love life; and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church. All my life I have been taught its principles and of its truthfulness. Through relying on the testimonies of others I have gained my own testimony. I can feel my Heavenly Father's love for me as his daughter everyday. He answers my prayers, not always how I expect, all of the time. When things seem impossible I rely on my Savior to make it through. The priesthood power is real and I believe it has saved my life. I have seen many miracles in my life and the life of my family. I know God is aware of all of us and blesses even those that don't know Him because He knows them. I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and partake of the sacrament. I serve others and volunteer in the community to try to live more like Jesus did. When friends of mine ask me why I live a certain way or do things a certain way I tell them I do it because I believe it's what Heavenly Father wants me to do and it makes me happy. People get surprised when I tell them I don't drink coffee and have never tried it. I've been asked if I do that because I'm not allowed. I tell them that I am allowed to make my own choices and choose not to. That's true in all aspects of my life; I live the way I do not because I have to, but because I want to. I want to represent my Savior and have him be proud of me. I live my faith by living my standards no matter who is watching, even when no one is watching.
