Hi I'm Landon Peterson

I'm from Utah, I'm serving a mission in South Carolina. I'm a drummer, snowboarder, skier, paintballer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being raised in the Church my whole life, has made my testimony grow everyday. Since I said, I'm from Cache Valley, Utah, there's a few things you need to know. Before my mission, I loved jamming out on my drums with my friends, paint balling every Saturday, keeping fit, biking, rocking out with my sound system and being at work. My favorite thing to do in my free time is to be in the outdoors. From hiking in Glacier National Park, Montana to mountain biking and climbing the slot canyons in Southern Utah. The one thing that matters most to me, is not only the outdoors, but is my family. My family has been such a huge influence in my life. Being the youngest, and the only boy out of four older sisters, I have to admit, girls take the longest time in the bathroom doing their hair! It's alright, I still love them. My family is large, and is still growing. So far, I have four sisters, three brother-in laws, a niece an a nephew, and another nephew on the way. With so many family members that served missions, I decided at a young age to serve the Lord for two years. I love helping people come closer to our Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised a Mormon, has been the greatest thing in my life. Just being able to know and understand the teachings of Jesus Christ. I strive to continue being a Mormon, because of how much closer I feel to our Savior. I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father, and we're all children of Him. The Book of Mormon is the true word of God, that testifies of Christ's teachings. I know that God the Father appeared to Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I do my best to be the person I want to be. I work hard by living the teachings, going to church, and being a Missionary For The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love this gospel, and I want people to know how much it means to me. Everyday, my faith in Jesus Christ grows. Knowing that I'm not just doing my will to serve Him. I'm doing His will to serve Him.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Landon Peterson
On my mission, I've gotten that question a lot. Mormons don't practice polygamy, because we believe in having in one wife. I personally wouldn't want more than one wife. Having one would be enough! As I have grown up with one mother in my family has been great, I don't know if I could handle four or five mothers getting after me! I know the Lord gave us one mother to teach, nurture, and guide us. I love my mom dearly, event though I haven't been the perfect son, but I want her to know how much I love her. Show more Show less
