Hi I'm Tui

I grew up in Hauula, HI. I am a Proud father of 8 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single parent of 8 beautiful children. I am also a Flight Attendant at Frontier Airlines and the Committee Chairman of Culture. My responsibility is to ensure that our company is embracing this Culture of Character. I was also on the CBS show "Undercover Boss" and that's how I landed the position. I love to play any sports especially Football and Basketball. I have a very busy life with my children and this transition is not easy for them. My wife and I have been divorce recently and we went our different ways. I didn't have a strong self esteem in my marriage and I decided it was time to make a decision. It has been hard but I have committed myself to stay close to Heavenly Father and have that special bonding like I try to do with my children. If your divorce doesn't mean its over and your life stops. No, I think about what the Savior has done for me and coming to know about the Atonement and how I can be saved. I really want whats best for me and my children. Jesus once said " I didn't say it was easy, I just said it was worth it".

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony to you is that my love for the Savior and what he has done for me on earth has given me a reason to do what is right and be a great example to my children and those around me. I have been feasting on the words of Christ through scriptures and Praying diligently for answers that I might be a better person. I read the Book of Mormon on my own with no pressure at the age of 12. I wanted to find out for myself if this the Gospel for me. Having to feel peace and gratitude on what I read I knew this was true. I was raised by my grandparents and very thankful for them to show me the Gospel. I also want to share that a friend of mine at work wanted a Book of Mormon and I said "just call the number at lds.org". He said "he already did and didn't want to talk to Missionaries". So I knew he was going to overnight in ST Louis. Our hotel is the Marriott. So I said Perfect! You can take one of the Book Mormons in the Drawers. He replied " ah...is that stealing...?". I said "No" the Book of Mormons are available for guest to take. So he did and came back to me 3 months later and said to me " There is no way this book was written by a farm boy". He read more and was very curious on what is going to happen at the end of the Book of Mormon. My friend help strengthen my testimony more by that one sentence. I was grateful for him to share that experience with me. I'm thankful for Joseph Smith for restoring the Gospel to us and testify that what he saw in the Grove that early morning was Our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son Jesus Christ. I'm blessed with this gospel and I say these things in the name of our Redeemer Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday School Teacher for the Adults. Having taken this calling I was very nervous. Who am I to teach those in the Class that have more knowledge then me? I was really stressing about this calling but after a couple of weeks of accepting this calling I knew why My Heavenly Father had me in this position. I have never in my whole life got to understand the Scriptures more and how teaching others was actually others teaching me. I prayed about my lessons and ponder on Scriptures diligently. It has made me a stronger lds member. It open new doors for me and my children. I've become a listener and mentor to my children. Their examples help me become a better father. I participate in my sons Scouting events and attend Father and daughter dinners. This helps me close to them in these hard times they are experiencing as a child. I also perform Polynesian Dancing for my Church and show my families talent that Heavenly Father has given us. Home teaching is a great experience because we get to visit our ward families and see if any assistant is needed and share a message from our living Prophet and his 12 apostles. That's where I feel that I am blessed to be in an organized Church.
