Hi I'm Brittany

I am a wife, a mom, and an author. I started a blog to help strengthen families. I love to laugh! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in sunny Southern California and love being outside. Instead of hitting the beach, we lived in a ski resort town and would hit the slopes during the winter as much as we could. I went to college in Utah and graduated in Recreational Therapy. I met my hubby in college and we have been married almost five years. After graduating, I worked at treatment center for teenage girls. My job included camping, snowboarding, rock climbing, and calming emotional explosions. I loved being able to help the girls make positive choices in their lives and to start believing in their unlimited potential for good. My husband is in law school and we had our first little boy during his first semester. Crazy...yes! Now, I get to stay at home with my son and I absolutely love it. Our favorite activities include making animal noises, swimming, food fights (unintentional), going to the zoo, playing hide and seek, and chasing a giggling little boy all over the house! . I love my husband and am so grateful for all he does for our family. Together we love to go on bike rides, go hiking, snowboarding, trying out new international restaurants and playing sports. I like writing with a cause. I published a book on strengthening families through recreation and started a blog with the same focus. I LOVE MY FAMILY!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has truly shaped my life in an amazing way. I know this church is true and I know who I am, a daughter of God who truly has God-like potential. As I struggle to live each day better than the last, I am so grateful to know I have a Savior who died for my sins and wants me to come live with him again. Knowing of God's plan for me helps me to live life with a perspective much bigger than my small scope can see. I have received answers to my prayers and I have seen miracles happen in my life. I was born into a family who were faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up learning of God's love for me and His plan for each of His children. As I got older, I found out of it's truthfulness for myself and have made commitments to live as God would have me live. I know this church is true with every fiber of my being. Each day I feel and see God's love in everything around me. I am so grateful for His hand in my life.

How I live my faith

We go to church each Sunday and I teach the teenage girls and LOVE it! They are so much fun! I pray each day and am so thankful to know that God does not tire of hearing me. I try to teach my son about God and being kind to everyone around Him. Our family makes time together a priority. I live my faith each day as I try to be better and treat others as the Savior would.
