Hi I'm Kenneth

I grew up in Texas. I'm a gun and outdoors enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love guns. I also enjoy the outdoors namely camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, and hunting. I enjoy spending time with family. I have a wonderful wife. I'm currently taking an armorers course. I've been a volunteer fireman, a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, and I served two and a half years in the Texas State Guard.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife converted me to the Church. I really like how the church is so family-oriented and into teaching emergency preparedness. I appreciate that the ministry in the Church is unpaid; everyone is willing to volunteer their services.

How I live my faith

My calling in the Church is a youth adviser, and an assistant scoutmaster. I really enjoy teaching and working with the youth. If I didn't, I wouldn't have accepted the calling. I try to keep the commandments and the teachings of Christ, and follow the counsel of the prophet.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Being self-reliant teaches you how to take care of you and your family. It makes it so you don't have to have someone else take care of you. We must be prepared for what lies ahead. As the Boy Scouts say, "Be Prepared." Show more Show less
