Hi I'm Judy

I grew up in Florida, I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 5, Love music, people and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been close to my family members. I love music and persued learning the piano and violin at the age of 5. I love children and taught Pre-School from 1985 till 1997. I was privilaged to have a son serve a foreign mission in "South America" "Peru" and had the chance to travel there and meet the wonderful people he taught. I have been blessed with an "Eternal companion" for 35 years. I love our "Heavenly Father" and his son "Jesus Christ". I am grateful to be a member of the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am so blessed and proud to be a "Mormon".

Why I am a Mormon

At the age of 17 I had gone through a lot of trials and began to wonder just what life is all about. I wanted to know the answer to "Life" on this earth and what was to come so I did as it states to do in (James 1:5) I picked up the Book of Mormon and after much study and reading of the "Book of Mormon" I decided to ask "Heavenly Father" if this book is true. (James 1:5 )... I read through the night and into the wee hours of the morning I received my confirmation through the gift of the Holy Ghost. Never had I felt so much peace and assurance in this life as I did then. When you come to know where you came from, why your here and where you go after this life, you will understand why I am a "Mormon".

How I live my faith

Knowing that I am a daughter of God helps me to reach my potential. I am trying my best to keep the commandments, so I can find true happiness in my life. I view God's commandments as blessings. I know that Heavenly Father will be mindful of those who seek Him. Example is the best teacher. Living what I know to be true is really important to me. I serve in where ever I am needed and even when not asked. I look at others with much more respect and appreciation since I know that we are all literally daughters and sons of our "Heavenly Father".

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Jesus himself, though without sin, was baptized to fulfill all righteousness and to show the way for all mankind. see Matthew 3:13-17. We learn in the New testament that baptisms for the dead were done during the Apostle Paul's time (see 1 Corintians 15-29) Because all who have lived on the earth have not had the opportunity to be baptized by proper authority during life on earth, baptisms may be perforemd by proxy, meaning a living person may be baptized in behalf of a deceased person.
