Hi I'm Sean

I grew up on Cape Cod and have lived here my whole life. I try to see the good in all things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading and writing. I am always seeking to gain more education and learn anything and everything that I can. I enjoy riding my bike and helping other people as often as possible. I plan to attend college to become a computer engineer. I always look for the good in any situation I find myself in.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where there were several different religions, so I sturggled to find out which one was right for me. My father left us, so I turned to God. I didn't know which church was true and would lead me to Him, so I looked into several. From Catholicism, to Baptist, to Hindu, to Buddhism, I searched deeply into these churches and more, none of them seemed to be true to me. One day, I was on the phone with a friend who invited me to her church, it was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. From the moment I entered that church I felt the Spirit, I knew this was right. I spoke to a missionary who told me "it either feels right or it doesn't" and nothing had ever felt more right to me. The gospel the church preaches, speaks to me so wonderfully that I know my Heavenly Father loves me, and knows me personally. I have received revelation through personal prayer that this church is true, and that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. I have had many struggles in my life, and I continue to have struggles, but the gospel has put my struggles into perspective nad has helped me see that everything happens for a reason. I went through what I did for a reason, so that I could come out stronger, and so that I could find the true gospel, and share it with others. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet, and I know that this is the true church of God. I know through experience that this gospel blesses us greatly when we follow His word and obey His commandments.

How I live my faith

I am a holder of the Aaronic priesthood. I do my best to help and serve others, and help make their burdens light. I have a personal testimony of service and strive to help those who are in need. I attend church every Sunday, and I go to the youth groups each week. I do my best to keep the commandments and live as Heavenly Father wants me to live, and how Jesus Christ showed us how to live.

What is faith?

Sean
Faith is putting trust in God and Jesus Christ, it is knowing that things may seem difficult, but also knowing that Heavenly Father knows what you are experiencing and is there to help you through it. It's trying our best to live life the way He wants us to live, keeping his commandments, helping others, and being kind and charitable. Having faith means you rely on God more than you rely on the teachings of the world, it is praying to Heavenly Father for answers when we don't know what to do, and also praying when we need help. If we put our trust and faith in God and Jesus Christ, they will direct our lives and protect us as we continue on our paths. Show more Show less
