Hi I'm Anji

I'm a mom of four, a BYU grad, a self taught herbalist and healer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about my kids, their health and development and helping them grow in the gospel. I love cooking traditional foods, and reading research and teaching classes on whole food, farming, and the healing arts. I have a bachelors degree in English teaching, and I love art and literature. My husband and I have been married since 1992, and we love camping and the outdoors. We think that our kids are the most brilliant, beautiful children on earth!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church, but I am a Mormon now because when I was 13 I took Alma's challenge to do an experiment on the words of Christ. I had come to a place in my life where I wanted to know for myself if the Book of Mormon was true. I spent the entire day reading and when I finished, I knelt down and prayed into the night until after several hours of being on my knees, I had a confirmation that the Book of Mormon was true. I felt the truth of the words I had studied wash over me and I knew that it was true. The words of Christ and the Book of Mormon have sustained me through some very difficult and trying times, and I now feel the desire to pass that testimony on to my children.

How I live my faith

I teach the 3, 4, and 5 year old children in my church and I try to help them feel the spirit and see the hand of God in the world around them. I also visit other sisters in my community and I help and support them through the trials and joys in their lives. I do my best to share my experiences and expertise with those around me who need them by teaching and providing service through volunteer work. I feel that my knowledge and experiences are gifts from God that should be shared with others.
