Hi I'm Tori

I sing in the shower. I love mini wheats, my family, and traveling.. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family of ALL girls and love them more than I ever thought possible. I find much joy through traveling and meeting all different types of people. I've volunteering teaching English in Ukraine, and China and have completed my first year accounting. I love adventures and trying/learning how to do new things everyday. Currently I have the opportunity to be serving as a full time mission in the Korea Seoul Mission! Being Missionary is something I have wanted to do my entire life, and being here I can say it is the best thing I have ever done. I'm not going to lie, each day is hard- but every day is worth all the effort. I love my Heavenly Father so much, It brings me such joy to beable to be an instrument in his hand to serve the people of Korea. I hope that every day for the rest of my life I can work harder and serve more diligently inorder to bring the light and happiness I have to others. Life is beautiful, there is so much to share- I couldn't possibly keep it all to myself.

Why I am a Mormon

As far back as I can remember I knew I had a purpose in life. I didn't always understand what it was when I was younger, but I remember feeling the spirit as a young child. I learnt the principles and doctrine of Christ’s restored gospel growing up in my home, and one day was able to put them both together to see more clearly my role as a daughter of God. Through prayer, scripture study, and involvement with the church’s youth programs I started developing a relationship with my heavenly father which continues to grow every day. I know that no matter what challenges I faced I had the Lord on my side. I have the faith that no matter what happens in my life I'm not alone ,and more importantly that as long as I use the spirit to guide my decisions and actions I will be able to accomplish what he would have me do. My love and trust for my father in heaven and his plan for me becomes more evident the closer I draw to him. As I desired to learn, he gives me challenges. As I desire to be more loving, he provides me with opportunities to serve, and when I require comfort, direction, or peace he provides me with his spirit. There is no doubt in my mind that my heavenly father loves me, and that he has provided this gospel to make it possible for each and every one of us to return to him through Jesus Christ. I have had too many experiences to deny the truth and power that comes from his plan. It is perfect. It makes sense. I love it. I embrace it. & desire to share it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by faith. It’s not always easy to know something is true without applying the principle. I try my best to act and apply what I am taught in my everyday life. I know that the best way to show my love for God is to keep his commandments, and the best way to do that is through my actions. I am not perfect at it, but I desire every day to turn my heart to God. To try harder to do the basic things which he's asked us to do. I live my faith simply by reading my scriptures, praying, going to church and serving in my callings. I live my faith by living my life in accordance to his standards and principles, by being an example to all those I meet. By sharing my testimony with others and inviting the spirit into my life through simple things such as listening to uplifting music on my way to work. It's not always easy to be 100% at everything, but I know that as we strive each day to be better than we were the day before- over time there will be a termendous difference. Everything that we experience is for our growth and contributes to the person we were mean't to become.
