Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Married for 30 years, raised 5 children, 2 Eagle Scouts, 8 grand children. Private Pilot, Adv. Scuba Diver, Scout leader, active in youth programs. Like to Hunt, hike, fish and travel. Retired Navy.

Why I am a Mormon

Met the missionaries when I was 16 years old when I was cruising around with two friends and checking out other churches. Raised as a Methodist, went to Babtist bible school and activities with our neighbors occasionally but the paid Ministry there bothered me and did not spiritually up lift me nor did the guideance I received seemed right. When I read the book of Mormon I knew. The Holy Ghost was very clear and loud in my mind as to what was the proper path I was to take. So I was babtized, Married in the Temple, and studied scriptures for clarity as to our real purpose here. I have received and witnessed many insperations and miracles in my life to have strengthened my knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints is the only true Church and does have the proper and only Priesthood on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Active in Scouting, community activities, and always willing to help teach others what ever I can be it life skills, flying, fishing, or what ever. I honor and magnify all my work, community and church callings as best I can. Love my family unconditionally. Pray often and listen for the Holy Ghost promptings to guide me. They have led me to a full wonderful life that has been fulfilling, prosperous and yet challenging.

What is being a Mormon like?

Scott
After you go through lifes trials a little ways you gain and have clarity into all things. Especially in how to deal with the falicies of mankind and the temptations thrown at you by Satan. Having the additional scriptures and righteous leaders and peers to go to when you are confused helps keep the light on in your personal temple within yourself. This has given me a clear picture of why I have been where I have, how it was useful in my growth in all things and where I am going. The path ahead is now desirous instead of scary and unknowing. That means everything to me and gives you purpose and strength in the things you do. It also unveils your eyes and mind as to what is the proper paths to take during your lifes journey here on the earth. Show more Show less
