Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in the city, but practicaly lived in the woods camping. I love a good book and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20, and I'm a Bookworm. I love a good book, and i enjoy one from almost any genre. though despite that, camping is one of my favorite things to do. along with biking, swimming, playing a good strategy game, or even a good action game. I'm not in College yet, but thats because im on my way to Japan for a mission. I will ever be grateful to God and Christ for allowing me to go there, because ever since i was a little child, i have always longed to go to japan. when i return, i plan on majoring in psychology and criminal justice. it's something else that i've always wanted to do. I'm and Eagle scout, a missionary, a brother and son. i know my way around perhaps many things. though im no way an expert at any of them. i Help my dad plant and care for a garden, but i dont know everything there is to know about it. just like i dont know everything about farming, or psychology. At least not yet anyways.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. like many others i imagine, but perhaps, when i was a child, i wasnt ....fully a part of it. I probably just didnt understand then, what it meant to be a mormon. but i do now. i no longer have the awareness of a innocent child, i am aware of my actions, and how they affect others. And i just want to use the awareness i have and just talk to everyone and give them some sort of happiness. I don't remember when it was that i said to myself, "your fully part of the church now, get to it¨ when i came to realize that i DO belive in the gospel of Christ, i just felt better. Emotionally and spiritually better. but i knew that i had to act better if i wanted that feeling to stay. and what better way than to have my dad give me some advice. He would always have something to say. Because both He and my mom have always supported me. So why am I a Mormon? It's because to me, there isnt a single negative thing about it.

How I live my faith

the Church has very close ties with scouting, so i was raised around it for a long time. so I am really into scouting. camping, and everything thats entitled with it. all the time i was in a tent somewhere in the woods or desert. I learned so much that will forever be with me, and that will help me live my faith. I wouldnt mind being a scout master in the future. show those young ones how camping is really done. And show them how they can come to respect the natural world that we have been given. living my faith doesnt always have to be so bold as going on a mission, there is always a smaller thing we can do, but sometimes its the small things that are so much more powerful than the large. when i can, i try to give positive words to others, a quote i might have found, or some other inspirational thing. and its amazing what can happen with a few spoken lines from a friend or stranger. if i may be so bold, heres a quote from one of my favorite stories. some of you might know where this is from, and if you do, then you know the power and emotions behind it. "So even if you stumble and make mistakes, thats not useless. Think of it like fertalizer. Sure it feels like crap now, but it will help you grow." -Kyoko i learn, make mistakes, and grow. We all do.
