Hi I'm Philip

I grew up in Europe and now I live in Utah. I just got back from serving a mission in Hawai'i. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent most of my life in Europe, and because of that I like to travel to different places. Growing up in Europe helped me be aware of different cultures and gave me an interest in learning about them. My latest opportunity came when I served my mission in Hawai'i. I love the Hawai'ian culture. It's something that will stay with me forever. Another one of my big hobbies is history. I enjoy reading about different historical events, (mostly military). Right now I am getting ready to go back to school at Brigham Young University in Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

The basic reason of why I am a mormon is because I was born into the church. My parents and grandparents are all members. The reason why I stay with the church is because I have been able to read the Book of Mormon and I prayed and asked Heavenly Father (God) if it was true. After I prayed I felt the Holy Ghost tell me that this is true. That is why I am a mormon. Along with that, I have also been able to see the blessings that come from being a member, such as joy and peace. I encourage everyone to find out more about the church, you will find the blessings that you need.

How I live my faith

The main thing that I do to live my faith is to follow the counsel of our church leaders. One of the opportunities that I had was to be a missionary in Hawai'i. While I was there I was able to share my beliefs about God and Jesus Christ. Right now I participate in church activities and try to learn more about God and Jesus Christ by reading the scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon). One of the most important teachings of the church to me is that our families can be together forever. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth. Anyone who wants to find out more just has to request for missionaries to come to their home.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries talk to people about God and Jesus Christ. Their message is that you can live with your families forever in heaven. They will show you how God and Jesus Christ play a role in that and what you can do to be with your family forever. After that they will invite you to do things, such as read the Book of Mormon and pray to know the truth of the book and its message. Another invitation will be to attend local church services. These invitations and others they will give are meant to help you come to know the truth of our message. Missionaries only invite people to do things, they will not force you to do anything. How much you want to learn depends on you. Show more Show less
