Hi I'm Julie Tolman Thompson.

I love anything nature and outdoors. I am a biologist, mother, wife, friend, instructor, volunteer... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Julie and I love biology and science! I teach biology and a bunch of other college courses and love it. I am a mom and a wife and family comes first! For hobbies, I train and "tri" to do sprint triathalons, teach water aerobics, and find adventure in the southwest red rock and other wide open spaces.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about thirteen years old I had deep questions about my purpose on earth (was there a purpose?) and if there was a God. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because as I read and studied and prayed I knew in my heart that there is a Heavenly Father that loves me individually and I do have a purpose on earth. My feelings about being a Mormon come from deep within my soul and spirit and are not about cerebral rationalizations. I can not deny the way I feel when I think of a loving Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. Following the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ help me live a happier, more giving life.

How I live my faith

The most important thing about how I live my faith is giving. The more I give in time, heart, soul, and material things the happier I am. I have been so blessed and feel an overwhelming love for people. I love visiting people of my community and sharing in their joys and sorrows. I teach children and encourage young women to make good choices that bless their lives and the lives of others. These moments of teaching and serving are the colorful threads that make up the fabric of my life- woven with faith and love.
