Hi I'm Carlos García

I'm an art lover, I'm a classic man, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a missionary, I'm a computers guy (I wouldn't say that I am a geek but I love linux based OS's). A very important part of my life has been music. When young I picked up a guitar and a friend taught me some chords later on I heard beautiful music coming from a flute player and decided that I wanted to go for it. With time I came to love classical music and ended up playing in the local orchestra in Quetzaltenango.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the most important things that I cherish in this church is the knowledge that we have that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can change. I personally am a big fan of change. I have changed in many aspects of my life because I know that God allows us to do so. I am still changing and want to help people to find that same joy that comes from changing for better.

How I live my faith

I serve as a full time missionary honestly trying to share the beautiful truth that I have found. There is nothing I would rather do, and nowhere I would rather be than here in this land sharing the gospel that helped me through my darkest hours and saved my life in a very literal sense.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Carlos García
Because we believe that we can offer that same gift to those who have died without the opportunity of taking such a significative and meaningful ordinance for those who we loved and who loved us. God is a fair God and this is yet another part of His perfect plan for His children. Show more Show less
