Hi I'm Aleah

I grew up in Pima, AZ, USA. I am pregnant with my third child and work hard to make my house a home and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an ingeniously crafty mom of soon to be three children (May 27th to be exact). I love being crafty without spending extra money. I went to college and graduated with an AA in general education after which I married and have since been working hard raising a family and trying to be a good follower of Jesus Christ. I love sports and even when I'm full term I will be playing basketball, volleyball or softball. I also love growing a garden. I have just started my plants for the cold growing crops to be planted in about 4-5 weeks and my warmer loving plants to be planted in 6-8 weeks. My husband is a big help with gardening even though he works 12 hour days. My mother passed away when I was 11 years old. We were a fairly active family in the LDS church but after her passing my dad chose not to continue living the gospel, and so did his children. Luckily he married an active LDS woman who shaped what was left of our family right up; not that it was wanted but definitely needed, and I know my siblings are all grateful for her effort even when it was so rebelled against. With the combined families there are 10 children; 6 boys and 4 girls, lots of spouses and grandchildren. Its still difficult working with the two families but there is hope! Eventually everyone will be on the same page. Heavenly Father has blessed my life with a great childhood and a great husband and an awesome family. Everyday isn’t perfectly easy but it is easier with Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Life in general can be so confusing. Everyday a person can face multiple challenges and without the knowledge of a Heavenly Father and a purpose beyond this short existence we have on Earth; all of those challenges can become ever more confusing. Even with the gospel, my life can still be a struggle but I know that without it I would be lost. My Life is full of JOY, PEACE & HAPPINESS which does come from the trials I face and the great joy I have after conquering them. For example tomorrow my trial may be cleaning up 5 grape juice spills from one child alone and trying to teach that child through love and patience proper cup handling and doing this without wondering why in the world I would choose to become a mother, the greatest job on earth! That is why I am a Mormon-I don't have to wonder!

How I live my faith

I am the valiant 9 teacher, which means I teach every Sunday the 9-10 year boys and girls. Last year we studied the New Testament of the Holy Bible and this year we are studying the Book of Mormon. I am simply amazed at the quickness of these kids and how they apply the scripture stories to their lives and learn how to help themselves and others become more devoted followers of Jesus Christ. I also coached our wards Young Women Stake Volleyball Team which was consists of all girls ages 12-18, we had 36 team memebers. I learned so much from them and had so much fun as we made our ward shirts with this years, Young Women’s Theme “Arise & Shine Forth” and practiced every Wednesday from 6-7pm and then had games each Saturday-with our final tournament this Saturday 3-14! One Wednesday practice we invited the young men to a scrimmage and had so much fun! Yes, the girls WON! I have been asked to help in other departments of our ward with clean up and set up and have been grateful every time that our ward family is so close and so helpful towards one another. I am also called to be a Visiting Teacher, which is one of our churches organizations to make sure everyone’s needs are being met and they are delivered a spiritual message once a month. I have a partner and we visit 5 incredible ladies each month. Just this month one of our ladies-a single mom-was in a car accident and we were able to bring her meals, help with cleaning her home and providing emotional support as she tries to iron out the details of finding a new vehicle! I know the organization of the church under the direction of the priesthood is meant to bless our lives with service and with the ability to serve others.
