Hi I'm Austin

I´ve lived in Utah most of my life. I love my family and I love to film. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents were converts to the church in their late teens. I´ve been a member all my life. I´m 19 and am currently in Mexico. My main hobby is filming, that´s what I want to major in in college. I was in TV Production for 3 years in High School and thats when I found out how much I love filming.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. Most everyone I´ve known is a mormon and I know that when I was younger I had a testimony but I feel I still partially leaned on the testimony of others. But now I´m older and I´ve been able to gain my own testimony of this gospel. I´ve seen the difference it makes in peoples´ lives and it has always been for the better. The changes it has made in my life has always been for the better. I have studied and prayed about the teachings of this gospel and have obtained a testimony of its truthfulness and the blessings we receive from it in our lives. I receive guidance through prayer and the study of the gospel on a daily basis. I can see the blessings that my family and I have received from it. With the gospel I can see the significance and value of each individual person; I know what they can become.

How I live my faith

Well, the way I live my faith is live according to it´s teachings. I read the scriptures, go to church, pray and do service. There are many activities in the church and many opportunities to serve others, this is a big part of our religion. As we help others we are helping ourselves as well in more ways then we probably see.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The atonement of Jesus Christ is the price that had to be paid in order to redeem mankind from their fallen, carnal and sinful state. When we come into this world we are imperfect and therefore sin. In the scriptures we learn that nothing impure can dwell in the presence of our Heavenly Father. We also learn in Romans 3:23 that ´all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.´ Seeing as we´re imperfect in this life it would be impossible to be perfect and never sin, therefore it would be impossible to return to the presence of our heavenly father, unless we have a way to redeem ourselves from our sins. This is where the atonement of Jesus Christ comes in and we can repent and be forgiven of our sins. Jesus Christ was the only person who lived a perfect life in this world and therefore qualified to offer himself as a perfect sacrifice for sin. In order to do this he suffered the pains of all our sins and iniquities in order so that we don´t have to. Our requirement is that we turn to him, repent, ask forgiveness and receive his saving ordinances. Show more Show less
