Hi I'm Pamela Zundel

I grew up in Northeast Alabama, and now live in Utah. My husband and I have 3 children and work in real estate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 3 and was privileged to grow up in the countryside of northeastern Alabama. But when I was 19, I got the adventure bug and was accepted to BYU and left the haven of my roots for the adventure of my life. I have lived in beautiful Utah since. I have been married to my husband for 24 years. Our daughter is married with our only granddaughter. We have a son serving a mission for the LDS church and second son is a senior in high school. I am a 16 year cancer survivor!! My husband and I own a real estate business which is still open! Hoorah!! Now that my children are grown, I am currently deciding how I can best grow into the person God has prepared me to be. What an exciting time to be alive! I enjoy traveling, gardening, walking, sewing, reading, and spoiling my granddaughter, and visiting my family in Alabama.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad's brother was the first member of our family to be baptized into the LDS church in the 1960's. He introduced my wonderful mother to the faith. She had grown up all her life asking where am I from, why am I here, and what is there after I die. She attended several churches growing up but none answered her questions until my uncle introduced her to the LDS missionaries. I am so blessed that my mother had the faith to read the Book of Mormon and decide for herself of it's truth. She was baptized when I was 2. She endured mockery from family members but knew this was what she wanted her children to know: That they are children of a Father in Heaven, that Jesus Christ is their Savior, and that through obedience to God's commandments we can be a family forever and live again with Him. That God has not abandoned his children in these last days but speaks through personal revelation and through a living prophet. Growing up in the south granted me many opportunities to visit other religions with my extended family and friends. No other church taught me that I am a Daughter of God and that I lived before with them and came to this earth for a purpose and can live again because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify of this and the Holy Ghost tells me it is true. And I am so grateful that my mother was wise enough to recognize the promptings of the Holy Ghost as He witnessed to her of the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That she was willing to endure her trials so that I can have this blessing in my life today and I can be a part of an eternal family. My greatest desire is that I have been able to be an example of these teachings to my children so they can have joy and happiness and we can live eternally together as a family.

How I live my faith

The example of Jesus Christ is to love and serve everyone. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it is my responsibility to become His disciple and do His work. As a mother for the past 22 years, I have loved and taught and cared for my children, teaching them how to be good citizens and friends and family members. I have taught them to care for their friends and try to not judge them but to give unconditional love. My husband and I try to help others around us when they are struggling with their trials. Whether it is taking in food when there is sickness, a new baby, or a mom needing help with her children. It might be financial help or just giving support with love and compassion. In church I have helped to administer the programs for the youth and I currently help in our organization for our women as the secretary in the program. This is a position that is volunteer work. I have served as a cub scout leader. I am grateful to support my son who is now serving a 2 year full time mission spreading the word of Christ and serving His children. I acknowledge that I am very blessed to live in the United States and have been blessed with family and the freedoms of this great nation. I try to share the gospel with all those around me and hope that my life will be a witness of Jesus Christ. I try everyday, some days are better than others, to be honest, true, and chaste, benevolent, and virtuous. I try to find someone each day who I can lift, and to do good for. I have endured many trials with the help of my Savior, and I hope to endure all things. I try to always look for the good and lovely things in life and share that joy with others. I know that God lives and that I am a Child of God and therefore my responsibilities are great. And with His strength I will succeed.
