Hi I'm Faith

I am a Homegrown Idaho Girl. I searched for answers and now, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Girl who is passionate about life. I Really love how different artists use their hands to create master pieces to praise their god and show others their own culture. I am currently experiencing the thrill of learning about Indonesia and The many Colorful people that live here. I Love being Outdoors and feeling small compared to the beauties of a Master Creator. I love listening to Music and love to make other people Smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I may have been a Mormon since before I was born, but I still have my own story I would like to share. I never questioned my parent's faith, but I certainly wanted to know for myself. I had my own test of faith when I moved out on my own. I began to test out the world and found strength in the faith of those who had gone before me. I read the Book of Mormon and Got down on my knees like I have done 3 million times before. I received a peace of Mind and an answer. This is where I belong.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing those things that God has commanded me. I really struggled with knowing that until I actually read the books he gave us through the mouth of his prophets. I am serving in a tiny branch in jogja, where I visit members who need me. They love to ask me about my life and I love trying to serve them and make them smile.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

I believe that after this life, I will be able to meet again with my family and friends. And If we are faithful to the teachings of Christ and live worthily to the standards set forth in the church, I will be prepared to meet God and not feel ashamed. I will feel like I can live in his presence. To live forever is Immortality, but it doesn't mean that that we will be happy. But to live With God for forever, That is eternal life. Where we will live in harmony and there will be no more injustice. We Will Be Happy. But in order to prepare for that life, We need to practice here in this life. Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

On Sunday, I dress up as if I was headed to an interview with God. I have never felt comfortable going into an Interview without wearing a dress or skirt and so I feel the same way about church. I would want to look my best if I where to meet my maker. We celebrate a variety of holidays, Easter and Christmas being pretty big In my family because we are able to gather together and celebrate the life of Jesus Christ during those dates. We also Celebrate Thanksgiving as a way to show our gratitude to God for our blessings. We celebrate each of our birthdays. One of my favorite things of being in a different country that also helped me was to see that the members here have different holidays that they hold special and to experience them was Fun!!!
