Hi I'm Kristi Nicholes

I'm a Mormon. I am from Arizona, I am a student.

About Me

I am a student, still working on what I want to do with my life. I enjoy playing violin, reading, and spending time with friends and family at home. I have served a mission for the church in Indonesia.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in this church my whole life. My parents were members, their parents, and so forth. When I was young I felt that the church was the right one for me. I was baptized as a child. But in my youth I faltered on that knowledge. I wanted something else in life and didn't feel the church of Jesus Christ was the best fit for that. I even felt I didn't know that it was true and why I would want to stay a part of it. I felt that before I just followed my family. But when I was 15, President Hinckly gave the Book of Mormon challenge, to read the Book of Mormon before the end of 2005. I decided to give it a try as I never had read it all before, and as I was trying to turn around my life again. I read the Book and came to know for a surety that the Book of Mormon is true. And just as the introduction says, when you come to know the Book of Mormon is true, all other things of the church you will also know are true, lie Joseph Smith was a prophet, the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored, the LDS Church is Christ's true and original church once again on the earth. That reading of the Book of Mormon helped me know why I was baptized years ago and because the reasoning behind why I now as an adult choose to be a member of the church and old to its teachings. No longer is it because of following, but because of myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the teachings of the gospel. In the church I have had a few callings, being a teacher and also in serving a mission for the Church in Indonesia. I live my faith by trying to share it with others and to incorporate it into my everyday life.
