Hi I'm Chris Keeler

I'm a husband, a father of three, a lawyer and a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my time is spent juggling family and work responsibilities. I love being a dad, and I have an amazing wife and great kids. I've been trying to get in shape by mountain biking with friends, and I really like it, but I'm still not in shape. I went to BYU law school and practice school law.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was born into a Mormon family. My dad joined the church in college. I was raised as an active member of the church. I had great friends and really enjoyed the activities at church. But I'm not a Mormon just because I was raised in the faith. When I was in college, I prayed to God to know whether this was His true Gospel, and he answered my prayer through the power of the Holy Ghost. I'm a Mormon because I know for myself that it is true.

How I live my faith

I have done lots of volunteer work for the church. My favorite role was working with the youth program. I took 30 people on a backpacking trip through the High Sierras last summer. It was amazing. I also really enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher. I taught an adult class about the Old Testament, which was really challenging -- but so interesting to see all of the prophecies and signs of Jesus Christ. In my current leadership role, I get to visit a lot of the members of our local congregation. I have really enjoyed getting to know people better and finding ways that the members can serve one another.
