Hi I'm Bryce Wendt

i love my family, I play hockey, I'm a believer in sasquatch, i'll do anything that deals with being outside, and i'm a mormon!

About Me

i was born in Plymouth, Mass. but i'm officially a utah boy. i LOVE being outside and i love to play hockey, those 2 combined is by far one of the greatest things in the world. hunting, fishing, hiking, shooting, napping, if it's dealing with being outside, i'm going to do it. right now i'm serving a 2 year mission out in Spokane, Washington. I absolutely love it! by far it's the greatest thing that i've done in my life. before my mission i served in the army reserves as a good ol truck driver :) it's more of a hobby, can't say that i'll make it my career. i honestly can't tell ya what i want to be when i grow up. i have 2 bros and 2 sisters, i give them a lot of grief but i love em to death! i'm a nerd about sasquatch. you can't convince me that he isn't real, just like people say "prove that he's real." i say prove to me that he isn't... most of all, i love being with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

i'm mormon because the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's kingdom on the earth today. i did grow up into the church but i wasn't serious in it, i'd just go through the motions. i've always had a deep love for my Savior but i didn't act on it. when i was 18 i went out to boot camp for the army. i left utah for the first time and went into the "real world" by myself. i was scared, didn't really know what i got myself into. one of my first phone calls i told my dad what was going through my mind and he told me "always remember the Lord." i took that to heart and after that i became happy. i remembered what i was taught growing up and knew it was true. i looked around and noticed everyone was missing their addictions and other wordly possessions. they were great people but they weren't truly happy. after realizing that, it hit me that i needed to depend on the Lord and know what the gospel meant in my life, i decided i needed to truly start living the gospel. with the gospel in my life, i'm always able to look for the better. life will be hard but with the Lord, He will ALWAYS give us the peace and comfort we need. He will never leave us alone. I'm a mormon because this is the only true and living church on the earth today. we have a living prophet, the book of mormon is the word of God, i'm able to know i'll live with those i love for all time and eternity.

How I live my faith

right now i'm serving a 2 year mission in the spokane washington area, but i live my faith by living what i preach! as a missionary we're constantly inviting everyone to do something to change. i wouldn't invite anyone to do anything that i wouldn't do myself. walk the walk of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. my mission means everything to me. i go out hard every day to exclaim the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ! elder Holland states "when you pray, PRAY. when you study, STUDY. when you work, WORK." God has His standard, live it and love it! if you don't like it, repent and come unto Christ!

In whom should we have faith?

Bryce Wendt
Everyone NEEDS a faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. without the Savior we would be lost. As it states in helaman 5:12, the foundation which we should build upon is our Savior. with the sure foundation of Him as our rock, we are promised we cannot fall. our Savior has performed the perfect and infinite Atonement not only to atone for our sins, but to know everything that we've gone through. all of our pains, weaknesses, sorrows. everything that you've endured through, the Savior has endured through that but for everyone. He loves and cares for every one of us, we need to have faith in Him, believe that we can live with our Father in heaven once more through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. having faith in Christ will cause us to want to be more like Him. we all must have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Bryce Wendt
NO. if we did, the missionaries would be wearing black name tags that said "the church of joseph smith of latter day saints." Joseph smith is a prophet indeed, we're thankful for his example and the sacrifices that he made in his life to help build the Lord's Kingdom back on the earth but we worship God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ who is our Savior and Redeemer.
