Hi I'm Abraham

I grew up in ontario, Im a retired aircadet, I'm about to serve a mission in California :D I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19. I am a dual citizen of Canada and US. I love the outside, Im a retired aircadet and i love to lead. I am a first aider for the C.E.R.T. and I have worked in carpententry and gardening. i love music, i play piano and I sing but just for fun. I love to draw, and i love calligraphy. I like to breakdance and ball room dance. i like soccer, rugby, and for track and field i specialized in javelin. I like to travel, I'm the guy that is the same with everyone and simply tries to make everyone my friend. I am currently serving a mission in Santa Rosa California. I am so gratefull for the standards of the church of jesus christ of the latter day saints they have changed my life, im different from my friends because i want to make a difference.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because of the testimony i have of its doctrines and of the people, i like how we can ask any question and there is an answer that makes makes sense and is not simply "only god knows." i like how pationate this church is about music and the unique feeling you get from going to church. I especially love the youth programs; they teach us to get as much education, and we learn to be leaders from our youth. I like when we go to the universities to have a youth conference with hundreds of other youth to listen to speakers that teach us things we actually care about and really affect us. Going to these activities had changed my high school experience sooo much for the better. ive seen how the teachings we learn make great men and women. I wanted that. if this was all fake, a lie, then it is probly the greatest conspiracy of all time. such marvellous works dont come from lies. Once you learn what LDS are really about and not what the bad media says you can't help but love it.

How I live my faith

If i said that this church was easy then i would be lying. But it does makes life much easier. We all have been stretched to say in the least, but because of it I've done things none of my non mormon friends could do. One experience I had was a wonderful opportunity to work in the Youth service corps to lead a group of teenagers 12-18 to train and build a young womens camp and it was a great success, now known as the Thomas S. Monson Camp. The friends i have made in the church make it easier to live the standards, but ive learned it is easier to follow the standards 100% then it is 99% of the time and that it is so worth it. some of my school friends think i dont have any fun an then i tell them the experiences ive had the places ive been and the fantastic real friends i gained and i see and hear the things they do and how its affected them and i wish they would come see what we do in my church. i cannot say all the great things ive experienced in a short paragraph but, the friends i have brought in the church say that it is so much better than what they used to do. That means alot to me, to make a very real difference.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Ive had friends of mine that found out i was mormon and asked why im apart of a cult. at first i was rather confused but as i told then about being a latter-day saint the kinds of things we do, they changed their opinion. they believed were were radically weird and do magical cult stuff (which i thought was kinda funny). they tell me its just the stuff they hear from various sources that i didn`t find too reliable, because none of them were mormon. i`ve learned if you want to know about mormons, ask one rather than go to media where there is a lot of junk.
