Hi I'm Steve

I grew up in Seal Beach, California. I'm a lawyer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California, and attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo studying architecture. I lived in Montreal, learned French, and then attended BYU Law School. I married my sweet wife, Debbie, and we have 6 kids (now going up to be great adults). I practice law in a medium sized firm here in Orange County. Debbie and I love to travel.

Why I am a Mormon

While my parents were Mormon, I found it to be true when I read the Book of Mormon when I was 16. I was on a trip to Mexico, and could only find the Book of Mormon to read. And while I did, a feeling came over me that I still feel when I think of it. It was a feeling that the Book was true. Following it, and the Bible, have made me and my family happy. We believe in Jesus Christ, and know He is our Redeemer and Savoir.

How I live my faith

I have tried to help where asked. I currently teach. But I have loved teaching the Youth. The Church gives all the chance to serve. I try and share with my friends and co-workers that I am Mormon, and that I believe it to be true with all my heart.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Steve
Yes, Mormons believe the Bible to be the word of God, to the extent it was translated correctly. I recently traveled int he pacific islands and noted that the ancient mariners posted two lights on the mountains that sea captains could follow in through the reefs. But only it the two lights were aligned. The same is true with the Bible and The Book of Mormon. Only when the two are aligned can we, and all of God's children, find the way. The Bible and the Book of Mormon was testaments (written testimonies) of Jesus Christ. That He lives. Show more Show less
