Hi I'm Kaitlin Pearson

I'm adventurous. I'm outgoing. I'm thrifty. I'm a country girl... AND I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am Kaitlin. I am a very outgoing and adventurous girl. I am really loud and happy and bubbley! I love making new friends and making people laugh. I love going on adventures and finding all sorts of new and fun places. I like to go out "picking" for antiques with my mom. I enjoy getting a "good find" and refurbishing it into something beautiful. I also like to do crafts and make quilts with my mom. I like the mountains and like camping and spending my time at our cabin. I am also a country girl. I love being out on my grandpa's farm, running through the corn, feeding the animals and driving on dirt roads with a pepsi in hand! *** Right now, I am a missionary in the New Jersey, Morristown, Spanish speaking mission. I am learning so much about the gospel and I am realizing more and more everyday how much it strengthens my life and makes me a better person. I am excited to share the gospel and hope to bring the joy and happiness I feel when I live the gospel to those I get the opportunity to serve. I love being a missionary! It brings the greatest joy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in Southern Utah. I was born into a long line of members of the Mormon (LDS) church. As a child, I followed the teachings and principles of the gospel and never really questioned it. I had friends who were LDS and friends who were not. I later moved to Colorado where members of the church weren't as numbered. I learned that I needed to be more of an example and it wasn't until my senior year of high school that I had really gained a true testimony of Christ and his church. I had been going through some hard times with friends and school and felt very alone. I was lost and felt as though I had nobody to go to. One night, I was sad and felt hopeless but as I was laying in bed I got the urge to pray. So I rolled out of my bed, knelt on the floor and began praying. I can't recall exactly what I said, but I felt the spirit so strongly that I began to cry. After closing my prayer, I felt so much love inside of me. I felt like I was the most important person in the world and that I was tremendously loved. Later, I received many callings that helped strengthen my testimony more and helped me recognize that I am a daughter of God who loves me and knows of my potential and worth. This gospel testifies of Christ. We are taught from a young age that we are important and that we are children of God, who loves us. We are taught to serve others, to love others, and to live the standards which Christ exemplified during His mortal ministry.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continuously trying to be an example. I try to live the gospel and show it in my actions and deeds. I try and participate in serving the Lord through temple work and through service to my fellow men. I am trying to be a better example to my family and show them kindness and love. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel to those with whom I associate. The more I study, pray and serve, the more I learn. I really enjoy doing things that help our welfare program and our humanitarian program. I was raised to work hard and serve others as Christ would've done. I love doing service projects and helping my fellow men. SERVICE IS THE BEST!
