Hi I'm Hattie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 32 years old and I love sports. I have coached girls basketball at a local high school for 13 years. I love the outdoors and the beach. I love to camp, white water raft, canoe, kayak, be in nature. I love to travel (mainly by car) but I will fly if I have to. I love to just jump in the car and go somewhere.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church my whole life. I have had a close family who have always been supportive. When I was in high school I started reading the Work and the Glory books and that's where my firm testimony of Joseph Smith came. I always knew he was a prophet and saw and spoke with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ but there was a personality put to him in the book, that I know is pretty accurate. He loved the gospel, he loved helping others, he loved being in the service of others...and that's how I want to be. But he was just a man, he flawed and had faults and when through many trials and loses and if we can but compare that to our lives and understand that prophets are not "GODS" they are men just like us, then there should be no doubt that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I continued to do my best in study and prayer. I have had my trials as well but I know that my Savior loves me...and that he died for us, so that we may live with him again. I have studied and prayed and applied this in my life and know it to be true. I have felt my Saviors love for me. He has guided me through trials and he has lead me down paths that I may not have gone with out him. He knows me and he knows you. I know that the Book of Mormon was written for our time. Every time I read it, I read something new that pertains to me in my life and can help me. I can't see myself living in not knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me. He TRULY does! His hand is in your life, it's not just a miracle for some reason, it's because he cares! I know we are on this earth to gain a body and that when we die we will see our family again. That gives me so much hope! I love my Heavenly Father and Savior, they are my rock and I can always go to them in prayer and I feel them listening to me and I know they hear me. I love this gospel!

How I live my faith

I serve in the young women's youth group. I love being able to teach and get to know the youth and to learn from them as well. They are wonderful.
