Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Idaho. I was in student government in high school. I love singing and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I attended a semester at BYU-Idaho. I enjoy filmmaking, playing the piano and organ, and hanging out with friends. I have been a faithful member my entire life and I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with all my heart. I was a Student Body Officer at my high school and I enjoy many friends and participating in choir. I came from a great ward, all the young men were very close, and we have many great memories. I have a large family, I am the youngest sibling with 16 nieces and nephews and more on the way. I am a huge fan of Star Wars and I love movies. I've been making videos of my own since I was 8 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong LDS family. Every one of my siblings have been a wonderful example to me. I am very close to each one of them and I have watched each make tough decisions in their lives. But they have served the Lord faithfully and have been sealed with their spouses for all Eternity in the Holy House of the Lord, the Temple. I have seen by the way they lived how happy they are. I have also witnessed many of my own friends who struggle because they do not have the Gospel or they do not take it seriously. I have a hilarious and very humorous family, but one thing they take seriously is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have seen the happiness and the miracles this Gospel has brought into so many lives and it has helped me build a mental image of the kind of man I want to be. Because of my family's example, I have always believed in the teachings of the Church, but I developed my own testimony at an early age that was independent of my parents and my family. I've found out on my own that these things are true. I have witnessed many miracles and tender mercies from the Lord and I have tried to keep my eyes open to His hand in all things. I believe with all my heart in the truthfulness of this Gospel. It just makes sense. There is no way to truly describe the feelings I get from learning about the Savior. I believe in the Spirit and I know the Church is true, and that Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I have served as Deacon's Quorum President and Teacher's Quorum President and I supported my leaders in the Priest Quorum. I was Junior Class President at my high school and Student Body Secretary the following year. I try to be a good example to all my friends and I befriend those who are younger than me to show them how to have fun in high school while retaining the values taught to us in The For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. I am the same person around my friends as I am around my parents. I have wonderful friends who love getting talking about religion and learning from each other. I have many friends of other faiths and I enjoy learning about what they believe. It helps give me a better understanding for other people and I love it. I know if the Savior were here on the earth He would talk to everyone and befriend everyone. I am far from perfect and I struggle in life, many times struggling with my own weaknesses or short-comings. I strive to make my life a reflection of what I believe and I do know for a fact that I would not be the person I am today if it weren't for my religion, my spirituality, and my Savior.
