Hi I'm Tanner

I grew up in Arizona and am now in Kentucky attending dental school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 5 years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I met my wife in college and she has been by my side through everything. We have three children who keep us busy so there is never a dull moment. I am attending dental school in Kentucky and look forward to practicing and being out of school. I enjoy spending time with my family, learning, and sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I came to know for myself that it is the true restored church of Jesus Christ at a young age. I have been taught through the Holy Spirit that Jesus is my Savior through experiences such as prayer, scripture study, and living the principles that he has taught. I served a two year church mission in New England and have seen the knowledge of Jesus Christ and his restored teachings bless the lives who have received it. One of the greatest blessings the gospel has given me is hope. I know that our Heavenly Father keeps all of his promises to us as his Children. Whatever trials we have in this life I know that as we draw near to the Lord through our faith and stay loyal to Him he will never abandon us. The teachings of Jesus Christ have given me this knowledge.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve the members of our local congregation by helping organize and teach in the Sunday School Program of the church. I love helping people learn of the truths that I know. Also, every day of the week I try to live my faith by the things I do and say. My goal is to try to emulate how the Savior would treat people in every day activities. One of the most important ways I try to live my faith is in my home. The gospel teaches men to be loving fathers and husbands. We are taught to be patient and kind. The most important place I can implement these teachings is in the home. I have so much to work on, but am grateful for the teachings that I have received.

What is being a Mormon like?

Tanner
Belonging to this church has brought me so much joy. It is not just attending a church meeting once a week, it is a lifestyle. The teachings of the Savior and our modern day prophets have helped me to understand how to return to live with our Heavenly Father after this life as well as having joy during this life.
