Hi I'm Jacob

I love to laugh. I take pride in my red hair. I'm a missionary, and I love it. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Currently I'm serving in the California Rancho Cucamonga mission in the Green Tree ward. As of yet I'm waiting for my visa to where I will be serving in the Brazil Sao Paulo West mission. I'm learning Portuguese in the field, and I've been loving all of the opportunities I'm having to learn, grow, and preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that wherever I'm sent, it is because the Lord needs me here. I love spending time with family and friends, playing ping-pong, soccer, snowboarding, and playing board games on rainy days. I love to split firewood with my brothers and being in the outdoors, soaking in all the Oregon rain I can. I am one of many servants of Jesus Christ, and I'm proud and honored to be a Mormon missionary to do the work of salvation. I know it. I live it. And most of all, I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply, I know it is true. It's because I know the gospel of Christ is here on the earth and has been restored by the power of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that God restored the gospel on the earth through him. I'm so glad it's here. Thomas S. Monson is the prophet of today, and I know that he receives divine and inspired revelation for these latter-days. I know that The Book of Mormon is also true. It has the power to change lives, as it does to me every time I read it. It has answered every question I've asked my Heavenly Father. I invite and challenge you to read, ponder, and pray about it to know if it's true. I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that He loves us so much and that He suffered for our sins so that we can return to our loving Heavenly Father. I know that we all have a Heavenly Father that knows you and me specifically and personally; He knows our individual strengths and weaknesses, our problems and our concerns, and our wants and our needs. He loves us more than we know. He loves you and me, and wants us all to follow the example of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. I know the gospel is true. I know it. I've felt its truthfulness. I add my testimony to the many others when I say that I know that my Redeemer lives. I'm so excited to preach this gospel to the world as a full-time missionary and to be a part of this marvelous work. This is His work. And it's all so true!

How I live my faith

Before my mission I went to weekly youth activities like service and just having fun with other youth my age. Once a month my dad and I would go home teaching. I study the scriptures and attend church every Sunday. I served as a ward missionary, which helped prepare me for what I am doing now full-time in California.
