Hi I'm Bethany

I'm all about music, I'll become friends with anyone and everyone I meet, I'm a Web Design Major, I'm a wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I sing all the time! I listen to music everyday of my life! Any kind of music too. It puts me in a good mood. Playing instruments is also one of my favorite ways to relax. I play guitar, clarinet, piano, ukulele, harmonica, and a little violin. Some days when life gets hard, I go running or just get outside. That's when I remember that I am here for a purpose. That purpose is to be a wife and mother, to raise a family, and ultimately to live with Heavenly Father and my family after I die.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormons are happy because Mormons have a plan. And that plan is to return to live with Heavenly Father. That is why we're pretty happy people. We know that in order to make the most of the next life, we have to first make the most of this one! The only thing we take with us when we die is our knowledge and our families. This is why we have Temples. Inside our Temples, we are 'sealed' to our families so that they will still be our families after we all die. The true happiness I feel every day is due to my knowledge of these things. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping life simple and fun. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, along with all it's teachings, has helped me in every aspect of my life. Everyday I live what I know. I know that there is life after death. I know that families are true sources of happiness in this life and the next. This makes it easier to do those everyday things and to find joy in all of it! Through this gospel, which teaches repentance and faith, I've been able to see that although I make mistakes, I can always improve. I have learned that I can make my weaknesses become my strengths, by asking for the help of my Father in Heaven. He always helps me when I ask him, because he is always there. He reminds me to smile, to compliment my husband, to live like Christ, and to keep perspective of why I do these things. I do these things because I love him and I want to have all the blessings he is trying to give me.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Eternal life is living forever with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Not only with them but with our families and best friends. When I think about heaven, it's hard to imagine seeing people that died in this lifetime or that I moved away from and didn't have the opportunity to see. It's certainly exciting to me! And for this reason, I make my every day choices correspond to the teachings of the Savior, because I want eternal life. This is my reason for life. Without this knowledge, I'm lost. I know our Father in Heaven is anxiously awaiting our arrival back to him, and I can't wait to see him again. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons believe in Christ. We talk of Christ, we worship and pray in the name of Christ, and rejoice in Christ. I believe the Church of Jesus Christ compared to Christians has a more complete understanding (because of modern day prophets and the Book of Mormon) of how we came to be, what the purpose of life is, and where we go after this life. We believe that we can receive revelation right now. Everyone of us. As we live worthy to receive revelation, we can know the mysteries of Heaven. Show more Show less
