Hi I'm Nicole

I am a wife and mom of two boys. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. I'm navigating life living abroad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Nicole and I'm a wife, mom to two boys, runner, former soccer player, expat, and a Mormon. Our family currently lives in the Philippines. My husband and I have been married five year, and recently welcomed our second son. I love being a mom. I traveling and experiencing new cultures. I have learned to appreciate different cultures as I've lived in the Philippines for the past two years. I find excitement seeing how other people live. I love trying new food, reading and running. I love being outside and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read The Book of Mormon and felt peace and comfort from its words. I have found that as I try to live what is written in The Book of Mormon, I am happier and my life is better. For me, this has helped me know that it is true. There are times when I have questions and concerns in my life and I have read The Book of Mormon with a prayer in my heart that God answer my questions, and as I have read I have found comfort or an answer. These experiences help to fortify my belief in The Book of Mormon and in this Church. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet. I have read The Book of Mormon and believe it is true and I have read Joseph Smith's words and believe he translated The Book of Mormon and saw God and Jesus Christ. I have read Joseph Smith's account of his vision and as I read it, I felt an overwhelming feeling of truth and my mind was clear and my heart felt full. These feelings help me know he was a real prophet. I also know that we have a prophet on the earth, name Thomas Monson. I know he is a prophet of God, because when I hear him speak or read his words I feel the same peace as when I read The Book of Mormon. And I also am happier when I try to follow his teachings. I know families can be together forever. I am so grateful for my family. I believe families bring us the greatest happiness and fulfillment we can have in this life. I know that Jesus Christ lived on the earth, lived a perfect life, atoned for our sins, and died on the cross. I know He was resurrected and lives today. I have felt in my heart that this is true. I have made mistakes in my life, and I have felt Christ's power in my life helping me become better. I have also had trials and have prayed and asked for His strength. I have received that strength many times and have been able to overcome challenges through Him. These experiences remind me that He is real and He loves us.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. For me it starts in my home. Becoming a mom has really shown me how much I need the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have realized that His teachings of patience, love, selflessness, kindness, and sacrifice are principles I need everyday to be nurturing for my young son and supportive for my husband. I also serve as a visiting teacher in my church. A friend and I visit two other girls in our congregation regularly and share spiritual messages with them and find ways to serve and help them. I love being a visiting teacher, because I am able to make friends with people in my church, and I am able to serve others on a regular basis.
