Hi I'm Bonnie

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother of six and a grandmother of 18. I'm a violin teacher and I play in a Symphony Orchestra.

About Me

I am a violin teacher and I have played in the Utah Valley Symphony for 18 years. I love classical music and good books. I have six children and a degree in Elementary Education. I taught sixth grade before I started having my children. Since then I have been a stay at home Mom and have taught violin lessons for 30 years. I am a grandmother of 18 grandchildren and they are the greatest joy in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and always went to church. I loved the activities for children and youth. I enjoyed singing the hymns and being in choirs. By the time I was 16 I knew I had to find out for myself if the church was true. I studied the scriptures and prayed many times. Finally, one day I was in a religion class and I had an overwhelming feeling in my soul that it was true. I feel that my answer came from reading the scriptures and praying. Because of my firm belief my husband and I were married for eternity. We believe in eternal families and have found great joy in seeing each of our children married for all eternity. The church has given me such wonderful guidelines and supportive programs in raising my children. As we are enjoying our many grandchildren, we realize how important the guidance of the church is in their lives. I know that God lives and he is our loving Father. He sent his son to pay for our sins. Jesus loves us and is our heavenly brother. If we follow his commandments we can live in heaven with him.

How I live my faith

I have been president of my church's womens organization and have organized and taught many lessons and meetings. I have taught and been a leader in the childrens and young women organizations in the church. I have especially enjoyed teaching the children hymns. I am now a visiting teacher which involves teaching three women spiritual lessons each month in their homes and giving support. My husband and I have just applied to serve a mission for the church as a senior couple. We are exited to serve the lord in this way.I love being involved in music and have been able to serve as a choir director in the church.
