Hi I'm Nathan

I am just your average fun loving dude! I love frisbee, music, the outdoors, and life. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, and I love life. I love getting out and being active in any way possible. Playing Frisbee, rock climbing, going for a swim, or playing lacrosse are just a few ways I do that. I love nature, camping, hiking, fishing, and getting away from all the stresses of life. There is something special to me about enjoying the earth that God created for us. Not only that, but I love to sing! Whether that is in a choir, or just jamming out in my car, singing makes me happy. Music is one of the best ways I have been able to connect with God. I have felt his love for me, many times and in many different ways as I have delved into the music world. I love people too! My family, friends, and all those who I encounter, mean everything to me. I believe we are all Children of God, and deserve the respect that comes from that divine heritage. I know that God is real, and I know that he loves each and everyone of us. This knowledge has influenced every aspect of my life for the better. I know it can do the same for you.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? The answer is simple, it makes me happy! There was a time in my life when I lived a different lifestyle than the one I choose to live now. I was seeking for the one thing that I think all of us are looking for: true happiness. I lived in a way where I would find momentary pockets of happiness but never the true joy that I so desperately wanted. I think the answer was with me all along but I had to really search within myself to find it! The true answer is following Jesus Christ. It was not until I turned to him with all of my worries and cares that I found the happiness I was looking for. As I studied the Book of Mormon, prayed to our Heavenly Father, and remembered what I have been taught all of my life, I knew what I had to do. I had to change my life and live according to the commandments that the Lord has given us. I reached out to the Savior and asked him to forgive me for the things that I knew I had done wrong. What I found was a spring of peace, comfort and wonderful happiness. This is why I choose to follow Christ and why I am a Mormon. I found what I was looking for. I know you can do the same.

How I live my faith

To put it simply, I do my best to live my faith every single day. I am not perfect, and I make mistakes all the time. There is not a single day that has gone by, where I have been 100% on the dot in every way. This aspect of life has been challenging for me at times, as I feel it has been the same for many others. But there is something that gives me hope and peace. I put my faith, my trust, my love, and my confidence in our Savior Jesus Christ. He knows exactly how we feel in every single way. He knows how to help us overcome our weaknesses and our flaws. We all have them, and that is only a natural part of life. But because Christ has overcome those things that bring us down, he knows exactly how to lift us up. He can bring us higher than we can bring ourselves. So, how do I live my faith? I allow Jesus Christ to lift me up. My faith in Jesus Christ leads me to love Him, trust Him, and obey His commandments. I do that by more than passively believing in him. I act on what I believe. Every single day, I do my best to be a little better, a little kinder, and be a little more like the Savior. There are many times when I fail but I know that as long as I am trying my best the Lord will help me along the way. He understands our imperfections, and he is there to help us in any way. I know this is true. I know this simply because I have seen very powerful evidence of the way my life has changed. Day by day he has walked with me and made me who I am. He can do the same for you!
