Hi I'm Anita

I run a wedding venue and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 6, 5 who are still living. I am a grandma of 17 and hopefully still counting! I am divorced. I love to quilt, cook, and paint, with Christmas being my most favorite of holidays. I love being a mom and now a grandma who likes to take my grandkids to the movies. I am just a regular Sister in the church who loves those she serves. I now run a wedding venue. I get to meet lots of wonderful, faith filled people. I hear beautiful stories of how the brides and groom met, or how he proposed. My favorite one is of a groom, who bought his bride a Bible and had her name engraved on it and then put her ring inside marking his favorite scripture! Weddings are happy times that bring families together and I so exicited to be a part of this.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in my early 20's. Right away when the Missionaries were teaching me about Joseph Smith I had no doubts at all. It was easy to be obedient because I felt as though I had come home. Since those early years the church has become for me a way of life. After loosing our 2 wk old daughter, I knew I had to really search this church that I had just joined. Reading the Book of Mormon brought so much peace to my heart. I was given the answers that I was searching for. That there will be a time when I can have my daughter again. This same foundation has been with me for over 30 years, especially after going thru a very difficult divorce. Being a stay at home mom to 5 children, didn't allow me to go to school to seek any special skills. I did learn to love unconditionally and meet all the challenges in my life with faith. I have been given so very much from a very kind and loving Heavenly Father. He opened doors for me to seek jobs, literally putting them in my lap. I have never had to go job hunting. The jobs came to me.

How I live my faith

Everyday becomes a day where I try harder to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know I can't do everything, but I do try to be an example to those I meet. I know I have an understanding of what we are doing here and where we are going. Sometimes we have to take a couple of left turns before we end up on the right road. While I am at work, I always try to remember the simple words to those I meet, thank you and please are sometimes lacking in our society nowadays, but I try to say them. I have been attending the temple most every week for several years, and that alone has given me such a comfort and passion to share the love that I recieve there. I try to be an active example to my grandkids. Recently I was able to attend the temple with my daughter and 2 of her children! I have served in the church teaching everyone from the 3year olds to the adults, about Jesus Christ. I honestly know of no other way to live that would give me such a peace in knowing no matter how hard this life is, Jesus understands, He knows me, He listens to my prayers, He is always here for me.
