Hi I'm Quentin Ellis

I'm a missionary serving in the Brazil Cuiabá Mission and loving it.

About Me

Music is a large part of my life. I became involved in Marching Band when I was in grade eight. I play the trumpet and have done so for six years while in High School. Mostly my enjoyment comes from listening to others share their talents in music. I have a strong passion for playing tennis and began to play with my school's team during my sophomore year and truly began to improve substantially through private lessons at Eastern Kentucky University. I wish to be able to improve enough to be a true competitor much like my icon, Roger Federer. I love to cook and more importantly eat. I am serving a mission for the Lord in Brazil learning the Portuguese language.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and am grateful for the upbringing my parents gave me in this church. I do not rely on this upbringing to sustain my testimony of this church though, because as I pray and ponder about this church I know that it is the full and restored gospel brought to the modern days by Joseph Smith. For me, this church must be true because I know that the authority I hold is the priesthood aithority that Christ gave to his twelve original diciples restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith in this day and age.

How I live my faith

I try to exemplify the gospel and my faith in Christ through the way I treat those around me and by taking any opportunity I can to share my beliefs with others to inform them of how I am a Christian. I try to live my faith on a personal level by listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. In all I do I do my best to act as Christ would act by serving others with love. The Christlike attribute of Charity is one way we can feel the love of Christ and our Heavenly Father in our lives more.
