Hi I'm Kristin

I live in Texas. I'm a stay at home mom. I love all things sugary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived most of my life in the Chicago area, and that is where I call home. I met my best friend and the man of my dreams in college. Once I finally mustered up the courage to ask him on our first date, I found that I wanted to be with him forever. We were sealed for all eternity in the Chicago Temple in 2008. Now, we have one daughter who we love more than anything. I enjoy reading, singing (mostly to the radio), doing crafts, party planning, and most of all, baking anything sweet. I love spending time with those I love. My family brings me the greatest joy in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for my entire life. When I was young, I followed my parents' examples of prayer, scripture study and faith in their Savior. As a teenager, I had to decide for myself what I chose to believe. I faced opposition to my beliefs at school. I knew that if I wanted to call myself a Mormon, I needed to believe in it with all my heart. I studied the Book of Mormon, prayed, and tried my best to live the doctrine. As I did these things, I saw the blessings of God in my life, and I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that this church was true.

How I live my faith

At church I am a ward missionary. I love getting to know new members of the church as well as people who are interested in learning about our beliefs. I am grateful for the friendships I've developed through this calling. I also have the pleasure of participating in the Visiting Teaching program. I am in a group with two other sisters, and each month we visit together. We get to know each other, look after each other, and learn about the gospel together. Through this program, I have felt my Heavenly Father's love for me personally as well as His love for the women I visit. I live my faith every day by serving my family and those around me. I try to teach positive and correct principles to my daughter. Even though some days are tougher than others, I try to be a positive influence on those around me, no matter the circumstances. I'm just a regular person, trying to make the world a better place, one day at a time.
