Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon. Joined the church when I was 12. It has changed my life.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University- Idaho, but at the moment I am serving a mission in Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Virginia and joined the church when I was 12. My best friend and his family introduced my family to the gospel. It's the best thing anyone has ever done for my family and I.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a member of this church makes me happy. God wants us to be happy while we are here on this earth, so it only makes sense that His church would bring true happiness to everyone engaged in it. We may not always be in a happy bliss, but we will be able to find happiness in everything we go through, even our trials. We are taught as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that each trial we go through in this life is for our good, and we can and should benefit from all of our struggles. I know that is true. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be obedient to the Lord. I'm definitely not perfect, but trying my best is all the Lord asks. I have been out on my mission for about a year and a half. I am currently serving in the Oregon Portland Mission. Being a missionary has given me a chance to tell the world about who we are as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Helping others is a huge part of our religion. We all serve each other, and each congregation is like a family, always willing to help other members. Seeing the blessings the gospel brings to my life is amazing. I really don't know how I would make it in this life without it.
