Hi I'm Roberta Lynn Swanson

I've been a Mormon since 1982, I grew up in Oregon, I'm a Photographer, that is unemployed & looking for clerk job. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four grown children & a grandmother to at least 10 grandchildren that I know of. One of my callings is as a family history consultant and work at my local ward building family history center on Fridays. I have always loved family history and have always felt the need to learn about my family history even before I became a member of the church. I have found my testimony of the gospel growing stronger as I find more information about my family and am able to take their names to have their ordinances done at the local Temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I have become a mormon because I was searching for the more I knew was missing in every thing I learned as a child about Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ and from all of the other churches I have tried, such as the reason we are here on this Earth and what comes after this life, and what I know can be achieved on this Earth that will be able to be taken with me into the next life, such as the knowledge that I can receive eternal life, and that if I am diligent in my works and service to my fellow human beings and Heavenly Father that my family can be with me for all time and eternity according to my Father in Heavens plan for his children which I am one of. I have come to know with all my heart that this church is the True Chuch of Christ restored to the Earth as it was in ancient times just as Jesus Christ came to the Earth to start it with his apostles and gave the atoneing sacrifice of his life so that I may over come the chains of death and receive eternal salvation through Christ Jesus, just as I know that this sacrafice as well as The Gift of The Holy Ghost was given so that I might over come the enticeings of advisary and his workers of iniquity in order to have eternal happiness rather than be miserable the way that satan is and would want us to be.

How I live my faith

I have a form of employment that allows me to be of service to others and sometime help out in emergency situations. So I have always been able to work under pressure and stay calm in any situation, so I have come to love the calling that I have to help organize the monthly meetings for women to help enrich them and teach them things that may not have learned from other sources such as family history, gardening, emergency preparedness, sewing, canning, food storage, cooking with their food storage items, doing simple automotive projects like changeing tires & the oil.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Call your local LDS church building and request a visit by the missionaries. Go to the local Family History Center while during open hours and someone there can direct you to the right person to talk to. Show more Show less
