Hi I'm Katie

I was born in New York. I'm a marketing professional. I'm a mom in the making. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in New York and spent the first 6 years of my life in philadelphia. I was so excited by the HUGE mountains when we moved to Utah, and the chance to be closer to my cousins. I enjoy a large family, both of my parents coming from 8-child families! I know my family is my greatest blessing, but I didn't always feel that way. When I moved out of my parents house to attend Weber State University at age 17, I so enjoyed my freedom that I never moved back. Student government, student activities, full-time jobs and new-found friends always kept me busy and I was lucky enough to always find a way to support myself. I began putting in my mission papers shortly after I earned my Bachelors in Communications and PR, excited for a new adventure and chance to serve with all my heart. Then I met an amazing man who changed my life, and I decided to get married in September of 2007. Today I am expecting our first child-- a little girl!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I absolutley know there is a Heavenly Father who watches over his children, and who sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for us. Being raised LDS I often wondered if I had a real testimony growing up. Through the course of life I have made good choices and bad, and felt the Holy Ghost and my Heavenly Father loving and blessing me througout. I have felt first-hand the power of the atonement in such a way that I could never deny that power.

How I live my faith

I serve as a Young Women's Beehive adivsor in my ward, work hard to take time for scripture study and am always looking for ways to broaden my knowledge. There is so much beauty in the world-- cultural, natural, and every other thing God has blessed us with. I am grateful for what I have learned, and that there is so much more to learn.
