Hi I'm Alishia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to my husband of almost 13 years. I am a mother to 5 children. I love spending time with my husband and children. I love to go boating at the lake with the family. I love to shop. I love to bake. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! I love being a Mormon! I have a testimony that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real and live. I have a testimony that Heavenly Father listens and answers prayers. I can feel the love that He has for me when the spirit comforts me as my prayers are answered. I have a testimony of missionary work. I am grateful for the missionaries who knocked on my family's door when I was a baby to share the message of the Lord. I am grateful to my mom and older brother who stood strong, had faith, and were baptized. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book. I have recieved an answer to its truthfulness when I sincerely prayed wanting to know if this a true book. The answer I recieved was so wonderul, so divine that I will always cherish my answer to this prayer. I have a testimony of temples. I love the work that is done in the house of the Lord. I love knowing that my family has been sealed in the temple. It is very comforting to know that I will be with my family forever and not just here on earth, but beyond death. I love the Lord. I love gospel. I love being a mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my religion while living my life. It seems that everything I do is for the Lord! I try to keep our home a House of the Lord. I try to raise our children to love the Lord. I know when I perform service in my community it is pleasing to the Lord. Recently in my community we had some very devasting tornadoes demolish homes and take lives. I have been volunteering (with many others) my time and energy to the clean up efforts by offering babysitting, making lunches, and cleaning up debris. Performing service alongside of other people FOR other people is such a wonderful feeling. I have found the tiny acts of service that I may give to others whether it is a smile, dropping of a meal to a family in need, or babysitting are ways to actually show lots of love to those around us. I have been on the recieving ends of both sides and it a wonderful feeling to feel the love that we have for our neighbors and each other.
