Hi I'm Burke Mc Cain

I was raised in Mesa Arizona. I have a wonderful wife and four beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went on a mission for my church when I was 19 years old. I was assigned to the New York Rochester mission, which covered most of upstate New York and part of Pennsylvania. I loved the people and the area since it is mostly rural. It is beautiful country. I love to hunt & fish with my son. I went to gunsmithing school after my mission and I enjoy working on guns. I am a field supervisor for a small construction company. I am in charge of planning and remodeling kitchens and bathrooms for The Home Depot and for our own customers. I am thankful for the many blessings that I receive from the Lord daily. I am so blessed. I was burned over 30 percent of my body in an accident from finishing cabinets with lacquer. The Lord was with me through every step of my recovery process and helped me to endure the pain. He was by my side and I felt him carrying me throught he hardest times. He helped me recover much faster than the doctors expected and I have a wonderful life. I look forward to being able to meet him and my family who have previously gone on after I leave this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find the most truth in the principals taught in this church. I love the Book of Mormon and I am thankful for those who worked so hard and suffered so much to bring it forth in these days. It has such a power to change my heart and help me understand the workings of God in my life. I love the fact the the church is so focused on the family and I love that the church teachs that a certain time of a certain day be dedicated to spending time with my wife and children. This helps me to make sure it happens and that I don't get lost by allocating too much time to less important things.

How I live my faith

Our church is an all volunteer type ministery. I am currently serving by teaching a class of 10 and 11 year old boys in a Sunday school type class on Sunday mornings. I enjoy seeing them understand the concepts being taught and I am amazed at the depth of understanding and commitment to the gospel that this generation of boys have. They are truly powerful young men.
