Hi I'm Bobbi-Jo Grunewald

I'm a wife, and mother of four. I'm a photographer and a website manager. I love movies and I love to dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a music fanatic. I love all kinds...pop, rock, country, hip hop, classical, you name it! I love to sing, love to dance, and love to play the piano. I also enjoy taking out my camera and photographing life as it happens. I scrapbook and keep journals, mostly because I have such a poor memory :) I love my husband of 13 years, and my four beautiful daughters who keep me on my toes. I love to serve in the church and in the community because it keeps me out of trouble and it helps me forget my troubles. I also work as a website manager and editor, which I enjoy immensely! My life is full!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has been such a blessing in my life. I know who I am. I know where I came from, why I am here on this earth, and where I will go after I die. I can't describe the beautiful perspective that brings into my life. Knowing that the Lord lives, and that He loves me, helps me make my decisions more carefully and gives me the motivation to give more of myself in my day to day living. Keeping the commandments has also kept me safe from many untold dangers. There are so many dangers in life, kind of like a mine field. Why would I choose to walk blindly through that dangerous place, when I could have a guide who knows everything? Yes, it might seem like living the gospel is confining, but in reality - it keeps me on the safe path so I can cross safely. Sometimes it can be difficult to be "peculiar" in this world, but because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer, and I know that I'm here for a reason, I take courage and stand for the right, even if I sometimes stand alone. The church also gives me a huge sense of belonging to something greater than myself. There is such a sense of community and love - no matter where in the world I attend services. What a blessing!! Not to mention the incredible sense of peace that comes with knowing we have a living prophet who leads this church, under Christ's direction. The gospel is not just what I believe..it is who I am, to the core.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in little and big ways. I read the scriptures regularly and pray to my Heavenly Father daily. I listen to the words of the Prophets and Apostles, both past and present and try to raise my family the way the Lord would have be do it. We love to have family scripture study and family prayer, and we especially love to spend every Monday evening together as a family. I also live my faith in how I serve. I serve as a visiting teacher, taking time each month to visit a few sisters in our ward, to check up on them, see to their welfare, and spend some fun time visiting together. I currently serve as the bulletin specialist and the booking agent for the church, but have served in many areas in the past as well. I love to serve others and reap the blessings of their service as well! I try to share what I believe with others not of my faith, so they can understand ME better and perhaps want to learn more. I love to talk about my faith on my blog and to my friends and family. I know I can always improve, but I love living my faith...it has always been a huge part of who I am.
