Hi I'm Madisen

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I am a patriot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn. I love plants and chocolate, and I love making people happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Sometimes, through each of our journeys, we experience doubt, uncertainty, hopelessness, fear, and grief. I know that Jesus is closer than we can imagine, helping to bear our burdens, ease our uncertainty, and replace our fears with faith. All we need to do is take His hand. As we find joy in the miracles of our day to day lives--a stranger's kindness, a friend's service, the beauty of the earth--our hearts will be more humble, and our lives, more meaningful. I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ, found in His restored church, brings me peace and joy. I crave knowledge and understanding and the assurance, through the Spirit, that I am on my Saviour's errand. I find and receive these things through being obedient to the precepts of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I recently served as a nursery teacher. Christ's words, "Become as a little child," often echoed in my mind. I witnessed the humility, meekness, and pure love of the children I served, and again have the opportunity, as I recently became a mother. Prior to her birth, I often felt less privileged because I'm a woman. I felt like motherhood would be demeaning and burdensome. Sometimes I even felt like God loved me less because I was a woman. But it was not true! Having a child helped me to discover how much my Father in Heaven loves me and all His children. As a woman, I have a divine nature and calling to be a mother and a witness of Jesus Christ. How empowering and fulfilling that is! I live my faith by being true to the calling wherein I have been called as a woman and mother in Zion, striving to love and follow my Savior, and living with love and gratitude in my heart.
