Hi I'm Julia

I'm a geek, I'm a reader, I'm a writer, I'm a leader and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading and writing, Batman, Star trek, Harry Potter, and Once Upon a Time. One of my favorite things to do is go to comic con with my sister in the Summer. I am the youngest of six children and I love my family. I enjoy writing short stories, but my overall goal isn't to be a writer (even if that would be super cool, haha). My overall goal is to become a Dental Hygienist.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so I never thought of not believing every word my teachers and parents taught me. Once I got into Junior high I was getting bombarded by anti-Mormon everything. After a while I started to feel so tired and kept thinking "Why am I taking crap from people I don't even know? Is it even worth it?" After I started High School we began to read Doctrine and Covenants in Seminary. I loved reading it so much. I started to feel the spirit again and started to know who I was again. I know that Joseph Smith did more for the salvation of this church, save Jesus only. I recently started reading the Book of Mormon for the first time by myself, I remember most of the stories from when reading together as a family, but it's different when I'm reading for myself. It gives me a whole new perspective, I love reading it.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures and pray. I love my family and whenever someone asks me a question about our faith I try my best to answer. I was the Laurel president and it was my responsibility to help and love my leaders and girls. I also have the wonderful calling of being a leader to the 10 year old and 11 year old girls. When I was younger I remember what it was like to look up to the older girls and the leaders trying to be exactly like them, so I try to be the kind of role model these girls need me to be. I love going to all my Sunday classes; sacrament meeting, Sunday school, and relief society.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Thomas S. Monson is our current prophet. In ancient times God called prophets to lead his Church, just like then God is still calling prophets to lead his Church. Show more Show less
