Hi I'm Kari

... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the great outdoors. I love creating beautiful pieces of art from clay and love working with my hands. I am a massage therapist and a student at a local University here in Utah. I enjoy learning new languages and traveling. I love learning about business, economics, international markets, and people. I love watching and playing sports. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon also, but over the years it has become more to me than just a family religion. I'm a Mormon because I know that God loves me. I know that God hears and answers my prayers. I'm a Mormon, and I want to follow the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. I always knew that God loved me and wanted me to be happy. When I followed the example of Jesus Christ things just clicked into place and I felt clarity and peace and love, but when I went my own way there was a darkness around me that left me wanting something more. My life isn't all sugar and clouds, but when I pray sincerely for help, I am given strength to overcome a lot of challenges. God has always been there, watching over me.

How I live my faith

I will be leaving my family, friends, and full-time job to serve for 18 months in Texas, USA sharing with others what I know about God, the Savior Jesus Christ, and his gospel. While I prepare to leave I visit/teach women my same age, read scriptures daily, pray, and keep my body healthy and clean from harmful substances.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Kari
None of us can reach perfection in this life. Because of this, and because our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to live with him again, He provided a way for us to overcome sin and death. Having a Savior is central to this plan so we can repent, or change from our old ways, and follow him in a new pathway of life. This is essential for us to be able to reach our eternal potential. Jesus Christ paid for the eternal consequences of our sins, and if we accept him and follow him then we can avoid these serious, painful consequences--and find peace and joy in this life too!
