Hi I'm Adit

I'm the oldest of 3 kids in my family. I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest child in my family. I am originally from south east Asia, but now studying in a college in the United States. I love to play sports, especially futsal, and i also enjoy to listen to many kinds of uplifting and relaxing music. I love to enjoy the beauty of God's creation by going on hikes, and more outdoor activities. I have a dream to travel around the world and see all the amazing things from many places.

Why I am a Mormon

Although i was born in the LDS church, i needed to find my own testimony and reasons of why i wanted to be an LDS (Mormon). I did the challenge given by one of the prophets in the Book of Mormon to read, ponder, and pray about the message contained in the book. I asked whether the true gospel really was restored through Joseph Smith, and if this church (LDS) is the true church. After weeks of reading and praying, i got my answer in one of the church meeting. As I was listening to the lesson taught by the church leader, I felt a very good feeling that tells me that this church really has the true gospel of Jesus Christ. From that time, until now, i keep on receiving feelings of confirmation that this church is true. Being a Mormon also helps me to learn how to live happily and joyfully by helping and serving others. One thing that i really love from being a Mormon is the knowledge that we have that we are all children of God. This knowledge helps me to love others more, and see them as Christ would.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to love others as God loves them. I love how in the church, everyone has the opportunity to learn and teach each other. I was called to be a teacher in the church as i am also attending college. I really enjoy learning together with my friends. I also have a friend that would always go with me every month to visit some people, and to make sure that they are doing good. This is a very great opportunity to better love, serve, and become better friends to those we visit.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The missionaries proselytes to share the restored gospel and the happiness that it brings. The Lord promises that when we live the gospel, we will feel joy and happiness. Although trials and difficulties still come, happiness can still be felt through The Lord's love. Knowing this, members of the LDS church follow the Lord's commandment to go and teach all nations about the restored gospel. Just as a person who will share to his friends about things that they love, missionaries share the gospel to everyone because they love the gospel. Show more Show less
