Hi I'm Tasha

I love my family. Children are amazing. I'm a Mormon Missionary.

About Me

I love to read. Sitting with a book is one of my favorite pass times. I also love to paint with oils. Letting the color come alive on the canvas is so much fun! I also love to spend time with my family! They are my best friends and being away from them is hard but worth it. I am currently serving as a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mesa Arizona and I LOVE it!

Why I am a Mormon

Because of Truth. Once you know the truth you can't deny it. My conversion story is interesting, at lest that is what people tell me. I am a firm believer that EVERYONE has a conversion story! Even people who were born and raised in the church. Growing up I didn't go to church like some, but my Grandparents would take me with them here and there. After my mother married my step-dad, she would drop us off at his parents house to go to church with them. They did this for about a year, until I was baptized at age nine. Then my mother started to go with us. I stopped going around age 17, because I didn't believe in it. At the time my mother was in the Primary (class for children) and they needed a teacher for the youngest class. So she asked me. I had graduated and was not going to college yet. I accepted, I figured that not a lot could go wrong with a few three-year-old children. So I started to teach them once a week for a grand total of three minutes each class. The rest of class time was spent coloring a picture for their mother and father (consisting of a bunch of scribe lines). After doing this for six or so months I started to feel bad. I would ask myself how could these children have me as a teacher? I don't know anything or even believe in what I teach. WHY ME?! Well either I could run around with this question over and over again, or I could try looking for an answer. If you want answers you need to start with reading The Book of Mormon. Well starting the following year I started to read the Book of Mormon with my Grandparents and my mother. We would get together every Sunday for a few hours and read it. Starting out I asked God if it was true and if so, to let me know. I didn't have a big bang or anything like that. One day I just woke up and knew it was true... and ever sense then I could not deny what is true. And once you find that out, you wont be able to either. READ THE BOOK OF MORMON, then ask God if it is TRUE. He will give you an answer

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what God has asked me to do, even if I think that it is too hard or not for me. I have been a Primary teacher for four years. I also have been a Visiting Teacher for one year. And after all of that, I put my papers in to become a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And that is my current calling. It is amazing! I get to testify with people all day long about the Truth of this amazing Gospel! People come to me with questions, and I get to answer them, well the Spirit does and I just move my mouth. I have seen many lives change because they chose to read the Book of Mormon and then, find the truth for themselves. The Gospel is true, ask God and find out for yourself! He will answer you, I promise He will.
