Hi I'm Shawntel McDonald

I'm a 28-year old wife and mother of 4. I own a dance company, love singing, playing the piano, Pinterest, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 9 1/2 years and have 4 beautiful children - 2 boys, 2 girls. I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Dance and currently own ,my own dance company. I love to sing and play the piano, especially with my family! I enjoy Pinterest and reading books.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in an LDS family and am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Although I've never had one particular moment to define my conversion, I have slowly gained a testimony of my Savior and His gospel here upon the earth. The Lord has blessed me through life's experiences to learn line upon line, precept upon precept. I know that God lives. He loves me, He loves you, and He hears and answers our prayers. Jesus Christ is our Savior. He came to earth to show us the way, and through the atonement, provided a way for us to return to live with Him again. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet. He saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in a grove of trees and was an instrument in the Lord's hands to restore His church in the latter-days. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and serves as a companion to the Bible to testify of Jesus Christ. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today. He communicates with our Father in Heaven, counsels and guides us. I am a Mormon because the spirit has testified to me that these things are true!

How I live my faith

I love the service opportunities that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides. I have served as a visiting teacher (visiting other women from our congregation on a monthly basis), in a presidency organizing classes for children ages 18 months to 12 years, as Young Women's president, pianist for children's music time, teacher for women, and currently the children's chorister. I feel one of the most important opportunities I have been given is to daily live my faith by example...to my children, my extended family, friends and neighbors. As I keep the commandments and follow the teaching of Christ, I live my faith!
