Hi I'm Max

On a mission in Guatemala City South. I am serving the Lord and I am sacrificing my time to serve the Guatemalan people and preach

About Me

I love school work and learning. I know that being a student is one of the greatest things I can do for myself. In fact, I have earned my Associates degree before I graduated from High School. I like to spend my time playing games with friends that help develop friendships. Those games include Settlers of Catan, Risk, Ticket to Ride, and many more. Reading is another of my favorite past times. Books with great story like science fiction and fantasy are some of my favorites. They include Mistborn, Conquerors Pride, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Book of Mormon, and Man's Search for Meaning. I now spend my time preparing to serve a mission. I will serve the Lord in Guatemala starting on the 12th of September for two years. I am excited for this wonderful opportunity to serve

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is the church of God. I have had so many hard times in my life but God has blessed me and has shown me the way to find him. I have always had troubles finding friends that uplift me, with talking because of a stutter, and staying on the straight and narrow path. But my prayers to God have been answered in little ways that let me know that He is there for me. Even when I have done shameful things I know that God is there for me and will always take me back. I have learned that God has his plan and he waits for us to decide to follow him or not. We always have this choice.

How I live my faith

I am serving the Lord on a mission to Guatemala City South. I have learned Spanish and I continue learning everyday. I spend my time teaching and finding people to teach. I try my best to be humble and bold as I preach and teach.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

God loves his children and wants us all to have a chance to live with him. We also need to be baptized to be able to enter Heaven. It is thus reasonable to think that those who did not have the opportunity to learn of the gospel and be be baptized would not be sent to Hell. Instead they would have the chance to be baptized through their living posterity on the Earth by way of proxy baptisms. I know that God loves us and wants all his children to return to him. He wants us to perform proxy baptisms and help our ancestors. Show more Show less
